Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Understand the scope of what you are required to do for the project 
  • Follow all required specifications for a job only deviating from them with written approval 
  • Installation of:
    • Low voltage cabling required for access control, intrusion detection, intercom and CCTV systems
    • Electronic access control & intrusion detection boards and equipment within equipment enclosures
  • Installation and termination of:
    • Copper and fiber data communications cable and connectivity
    • Head-end equipment, such as servers, DVR’s NVR’s, matrix switchers, Ethernet switches, etc. within equipment enclosures and racks
  • Complete Installations as efficiently as possible to stay under allocated hours, while providing high-quality Installations daily 
  • Properly mount (secure, level, centered) various equipment including displays, equipment enclosures, power supplies, switches, security cameras, and equipment according to the manufacturer’s specifications
  • Set up & program security, access control, intrusion, audio-visual and CCTV system communications network
  • Perform system troubleshooting
  • Participate in safety meetings and follow ALL safety guidelines  
  • Complete assigned tasks as directed in the amount of time allocated 
  • Communicate daily activities 
  • Protect and keep track of all materials/tools in your possession and follow all check-in/out procedures
  • Present yourself in a professional manner when on company time, both in your physical appearance and demeanor 
  • Willing to travel & work flexible shifts as needed 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and applicable training certification  
  • 0-2 years related experience with a focus on the electronic security system industry 
  • Understand standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry
  • Be willing to learn and apply information and techniques as instructed by senior personnel 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Provide your own basic hand tools and understand the operation and safety of project-specific tools 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • A valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance are necessary 
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance  
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to speak, write and read English  

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working with federal government agencies
  • OSHA Certification

Pay: $17.20 - $21.60 an hour
