Position Summary The Security Installation Technician III / Site Lead is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of structured cabling, access control, and surveillance systems, while overseeing project performance and coordinating local subcontractors.
You’ll lead field operations at Naval installations in Oahu, HI and Virginia Beach, VA, ensuring project delivery meets DoD standards and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Install, test, and maintain security and surveillance systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and functional testing of security systems and network components.
Install and terminate copper and fiber data communications cabling.
Set up and program security, access control, audio-visual, and CCTV network systems.
Create accurate documentation, drawings, and reports.
Supervise and support subcontractors and junior technicians.
Foster continuous learning, innovation, and quality improvement.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience installing and maintaining low-voltage structured cabling systems.
Active Government Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
Industry certifications such as OSHA, Lenel, Avigilon, DMP, Pelco, etc.
Strong knowledge of low-voltage electronics, wiring standards, and network infrastructure.
Experience installing/configuring Windows-based security applications (access control, intrusion, video surveillance).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio) and test equipment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current insurance.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional vendor or OSHA safety certifications.
Strong understanding of communications networks and system integration.
Prior experience working with federal or DoD agencies.
