Position Summary
The Security Installation Technician III / Site Lead is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of structured cabling, access control, and surveillance systems, while overseeing project performance and coordinating local subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and maintain security and surveillance systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and functional testing of security systems and network components.
- Install and terminate copper and fiber data communications cabling.
- Set up and program security, access control, audio-visual, and CCTV network systems.
- Foster continuous learning, innovation, and quality improvement.
- Minimum 1 year of experience installing and maintaining low-voltage structured cabling systems.
- Active Government Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Knowledge of low-voltage electronics, wiring standards, and network infrastructure.
- Experience installing/configuring Windows-based security applications (access control, intrusion, video surveillance).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio) and test equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current insurance.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Industry certifications such as OSHA, Lenel, Avigilon, DMP, Pelco, etc.
- Additional vendor or OSHA safety certifications.
- Strong understanding of communications networks and system integration.
- Prior experience working with federal or DoD agencies.
- Military background is highly valued.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $20.00 – $30.00/hour (DOE)
