Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating with General Contractors and other trades 
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of build sites, including leading the crew on specific construction tasks 
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager on all scheduling and equipment/material ordering and returns; ensure the site has the tools and materials needed for the work scheduled 
  • Tracking and reporting of project status to appropriate management for review and approval of milestones and schedules 
  • Responsible for taking deliveries of materials and supplies; ensures all tools and materials are maintained and safeguarded; keep track of all materials/tools in your possession and follow all check-in/out procedures 
  • Complete Installations as efficiently as possible to stay under allocated hours, while providing high-quality Installations daily 
  • Hold the job site safety meeting and record it and follow ALL safety guidelines 
  • Develop and maintain strong customer and stakeholder allegiance to projects via a clear understanding of the customer’s project requirements 
  • Respond promptly to all established customer requests technical problems and inquires 
  • Lead sub-contractors/consultants, vendors, and personnel as required 
  • Programming of intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, VMS, and other integrated security systems 
  • Willing to travel and work flexible shifts as needed - Main Project Sites are as follows: Virginia Beach (JEB Little Creek-Fort Story) VA.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and applicable training certification 
  • An Industry Certification (i.e. Lenel, Avigilon, DMP, Bosch, OSHA 30 Certification, etc.) 
  • 5 years of experience installing and programming low-voltage structured cabling systems 
  • 6 years of specific experience as Lead Installation Technician
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards is required 
  • Have solid understanding of drawings & installation according to design 
  • Must have good analysis and observation skills 
  • Excellent leadership, management, planning, motivation skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced high-stress environment 
  • Experience installing Security systems e.g., Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion Detection 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to communicate professionally 
  • Willingness and ability to become certified in the company or site-mandated certifications (i.e. - First Aid / CPR) 
  • Strong knowledge of PC applications (MS Office Suite) 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Provide your basic hand tools and understand the operation and safety of project-specific tools 
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a government security clearance 
  • Must have a clean driving record, pass a background check, and have dependable transportation 
 

Preferred:
  • Previous experience working with federal government agencies

Pay: $36.63 - $38.00
